Ive seen it done on a 84-88 Toyota named "Skinned Alive" It was featured in minitruckin' i believe in 2009. So my question is, has anyone done it on the 89-95? Ive searched and haven't found anything yet. I'm on the lookout for a bumper right now. My truck was rear ended right below the taillight going to its first show as a bagged truck and being drove for the first time within a year. So im taking something bad and making it into something most def bad lol.
I love the look on it, Both trucks have the tacoma calicombo. So it'll be interesting to see how this turns out with keeping the stock look.
i was thinking about it some time ago but here my idea, cut the side and shorten it i would look great
Ive thought about that, But i have damage on my bed, and this would save me alot of trouble, not alot but it would help. Only thing I have to fab up would be the peice to go between the bumper and the tailgate.
I was at one point & may still do it, but go with the 4-Runner front & rear bumpers & on the rear use the outer skin of the 4-runner tailgate. That way it would have a factory look, but very different.
Joe Musso's truck a few more pics here http://www.toyotaminis.com/forum/off-topic-12/your-favorite-toyota-truck-5895/
Thank you for this =). Its pretty much the style im going for. Is it me or is that 84-88 tails? if so, i have a brand new set sitting in my garage im planning on using lol.
Haha before Joe owned that truck it had 12" (wide) salad bowl deep rims and a wooden stake bed on it.
