1- can I JB weld my egr hole shut on the side of the block ? I would block it off but my linkage is in the way...

2- I took my oil pump off today to add some ultra black silicone to stop a small leak and it made it worse.. my rubber o-ring is messed up a bit... its like 14 bucks for a new one im broke, can I just goop the sht out of it instead of that rubber o-ring or will that not work ?

    1. Move the linkage so that you can use a block off plate. JB weld isn't going to work well.

    2. Negative on the silicone. You need the O-ring. Make sure it doesn't get pinched when you install the pump or it will leak.

take the stuff off, put the plate on, put the stuff back on. If there isn't enough space for a blockoff plate, how is the EGR there?

the egr is not there.. its an open hole I only have bolts in the 3 holes so oil does not come out, but as of now its just a big exhaust leak right there

I already replaced it today.. I swear it took me longer to get the damn ring to stay in place then it did for me to put the whole motor back in ! I think If I cut the long rod down from my linkage I can fit the block off plate..
