lol its the only time we can get the trucks to slide out right? speaking of which, ever since i got 215/65/r16's in the rear, the truck doesn't like to kick it out compared to the 205/75/r14's.....
not today but heres a video of me doing a burnout the last day of school a few years ago... and who says these trucks cant spin a tire??? the tires I had on the rear were 275 45 18 at the time of this burn out !.. lit up like the fourth of july ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lMUQN5O-8g
Got my 94 back from the mechanic fully rebuilt bottom end, new timing chain, new timing gear, new water pump, new oil pan, it was fully machined, had him street port the intake so I can cam it. I still need new wires plugs and cap after that and the cam it should be a fun little bugger to drive around. However Im now out of funds stupid mechanic
finnaly got my weber running on my truck, went for a test drive... got cap, rotor, wires, and plugs.. forgot to get another fuel filter tho wouldve been nice to get all the goodies he did, minus paying the mechanic...
Yah I had no choice with paying the mechanic Ive been sick and I dont have all the tools to do a complete rebuild at the moment so I was kinda stuck, but the dealership I bought it from paid half the bill so it wasnt too bad but still I could have bought some new rims or somthing with the money I spent on the motor
Tore the interior out of the truck today. Drilled holes for the new seats, put insulation down, and put about 2/3 of the rug down. Will finish tomorrow. Tons of pics so far. Also fixed some wiring, and put my stock mirror in after cleaning it up as much as I could. I still need to replace it but at least it doesn't vibrate like crazy when I drive After the rug it's speaker and door panel time... then hopefulyl done for a while. At least the inside of the truck will be nice.
oic yeah i dont have all the tools neither and im not allowed to do any major work on my vehicle where i live. which makes things difficult.. and think of it this way, instead of wheels youll have an engine that will last... get better.
Broke my passenger window crank with the bass. So no it falls off everytime the music is too loud. Guess this forces me to buy the billet window cranks. Depending on what the wife says.
I just did a tune up with some NGK plugs and fatty 7mm wires, cap and rotor and also got some plugs and plugged up a few vaccum lines. Gotta read a little more about what other ones i can plug.
Yeah my truck is running again. Thanks for all the help everyone. Turns out the chain or guide wasnt making noise. Long expensive lesson. I got the timing chain set with metal guides for sale if anyone is interested.
Shaved both door handles and smoothed off. Also shaved bonnet jets amd smoothed them. Fixed up some of the rollpan, and some other repairs. Re-primed over repairs to blend in with rest of primered Lux. Played around with my new 4runner grill and headlights, really hoping to get them fitting. :S
When i opened it up the chain looked brand new like it was just done. The guides were still there intact too and there was no slack in the chain. The oil pan was clean as well. So i just put it back together and filled it up with oil and it dont make noise anymore. I dunno what was. And now after the tune up it runs perfect. I have a couple of pictures. Ill post them up later.
I not to sure. For the most part it runs good. I can drive on the freeway for like 20 miles no problem, but once i get off, say im coming to a red light, i put it in netural and the rpms straigiht drop and the truck dies out. Sometimes it doesnt, just drops to like 200rpm then bouces back up. When it dies though it starts right back up. its weird. could that be a idle problem where i just have to up the idle?
