I located my oil leak. It's dripping from the very front of the head/head gasket. If you look at the picture below of the gasket, it's leaking from where I circled it. It's leaking from the right side(if you're standing in front looking down at the engine). It doesn't appear to have any antifreeze mixed with it(or whenever I check the oil with the dipstick), I'm not getting any white smoke from the exhaust. It's just a constant drip(after the engine is warm) of oil. Should I be concerned it's something else?
did you just do a rebuild? maybe when you put it on you bent or ripped it. you also might want to check to make sure the screw is tight? take off the valve cover and right below the timing chain sprocket bolt there is a bolt there try make it tight and go from there. you might have to clean the oil to see it.
I wouldn't be concerned of a blown head gasket, but as G671 stated check the bolt for tightness and also check the boss at the top of the cover where you have it circled, easily cracked from overtightening or screwing the bolt in when the boss is full of oil.
The boss is the part at the top of the timing chain cover that the bolt in the head under the distributor drive threads into thats circled in your head gasket picture. If you pull the valve cover off, you'll see the distributor drive gear, right under that covered in oil is a 12mm head bolt that goes through the head, through the gasket, and threads into the "boss" on the timing cover, if the bolt is loose it could cause your leak, if the boss was full of oil when someone threaded the bolt in, simple hydraulics, the pressure can crack or worse yet actually blow the aluminum out creating a major leak.
