Tilt bed?

    i put my fuel cell under the raised bed floor so i do have to raise to fill up anywayz here's a few pics anything else i can help with let me know

    I would like to see how you are latching the bed down so it doesn't bounch around while driving. I've seen too many trucks with tilt beds that bounch while they drive because they aren't latched down.

    Why not just use a trailer hitch pin that holds a mount from the front of the bed to a mount on the frame?

    For a latch use a bear claw an like a pull cable or a door solenoid

    I dig 'em! Question though...does the bed have to mounted slightly back so when it comes up the lower area on the front won't hit the cab? Or does that not change when tilting? Nevermind, just took a ruler and a book and checked, seems it doesn't change.

    Yeah, clearance will depend on the pivot point. As long as it is close to the level of the bottom front edge of the tray then you should have plenty of clearance from the cab as it swings up.

    The further back you make your fulcrum point the more clearance youll have
