is the rear window the same size in the 80-83 as the 84-88? i know they have the same design of sitting up high over the bed, but don't know the meas. as i have no way to look at the 84 year ranges.

FBI has the lexan rear windows for sale on closeout is the reason in asking btw

    thanks

the only toyota rear window thats the same is the standard cabs 84-88 through 89-94. The Extra Cabs are all differnt from each other as well.

So you know the FBI windows are not Lexan. They are plexi glass and very thin. I had 3 customers this week call me that found out the hard way. The plexi galss/Acrylite is very bittle. The Lexan we use is almost 3 times as expensive as the cheap stuff but I've never had one returned or broken.

i'm planning on putting an 84-88 rear window in my 79 yota, kinda think the look of a big back window would be cool.

burnzya, Ide do a big back window for one reason in your truck, your so freaking low, you need all the vision space you can get man, LOL! TO be honest, I think a sliding 4runner window would be off the chart in your ride! To add my few cents, I like the looks of a Lexan window, but am somewhat scheptical in getting one, main reason is, Ive heard WAY to many horror stories. Excellent information thou!

the new ones they will stock now and in the future are the acrylite ones, but the ones on sale are the old lexan ones they used to have and won't get any more.. if i read the closeout title correctly... i think you might be able to cut the lexan if you were careful.. but i guess i just won't fool with it, need to buy steering for my big yota first.

my 79 isn't low yet, i will be tearing into it after i'm done with the 86, i was thing of running lexan in the 86 since it would be cheaper to cut than the factory tempered glass.

This ones for Steve, since the topic has arised. I wanted to get a rear window w/ the brake light in the middle with no lisc. plate box. Just the light, I had one before which i got from FBI, but like everybody said (crappy), couldnt remove overspray/ crazy scratches. I didnt see that type on your site. Thanks, Sha shoot
