Im assuming just aftermarket for RPM purposes then depending on size Id install it on the steering column cover if its bigger then maybe get a piller pod for it. If its a full blown race tach then mount on dash either side of steering wheel and put the shift light in one of the vents or where your clock is.

mount it on the steering column cover behind the steering wheel you should still have plenty of space to see your speedo

I mounted mine on the A- pillar, without a pod. It quick, cheap, puts all of the wiring right where it needs to be, and most importantly, it's easy to see.

Im 5-11 and the angle that I look at it is LOS with the hood. Im not missing anything.

But on later trucks you dont have that recess in the dash next to the cluster. Looks kinda high but whatever. :waytogo:

You can see in the cluster where I punched out a blank plate and had I had a tack in there. But it was like 2 inches big and the engine could out rev it.
