I want a bed so bad I was actually considering it there for a bit, but man that would be a long trip bedless... Even if you met me half way I don't know if I could do it. I'd probably get pulled over a dozen times between here and there, or at the very least I'd be getting some looks.
I just shipped a 5 gallon bucket weighing 45lbs 2000miles for $35 why would this cost that much to ship? what i need would fit in a box 18x24x10 and weigh about 15-20lbs should run 20-30 $ to ship... I don't see why it needs a crate??? A well packed box should do fine... I only need the inner wall still attached to the skin... not the floor or back wall, the inner wall is not even the full height of the bed wall and would make the piece no bigger maybe 5lbs difference if you cut the skin from the inner wall... their tack welded together anyway... you would have a heck of a time splitting the skin from the inner wall... but whatever... I think I am just going to cut up the good bed I have... You dont need to remove your bed first when you get there just flip the new one upside down and sit it on the one on the truck use two 2x4's across between the two beds with blocks attached to it to keep the bed from shifting side to side then strap it down the bed I just sold left here just like that...
it sounded like you wanted the whole 14in of the front bed including the front part. but the bed sold anyways and left exactly like your bed left. then the guys clutch went out when he got to the shop so not only did the tow truck driver had to tow the truck 2hrs away. he had to to it with another bed on top of that guys truck. but like i said thx for the replies everyone.
Yeah, I guess I was confused about what portion of the bed you were talking about. I was thinking you needed the whole bedsides plus 14"or something. Sorry for poking my nose in, I'm on a hunt for a 89-95 bed too and it cought my eye. But I was trippin, I was picturing something way bigger than 18"x24"x10".
