my single cab yota is not keepin a charge i have checked the alt an it is good, i have also put another battery in it to see if that is it an i drained that battery also. i dont know what it is can someone help me out

it wasnt a new one i put in but it was good, so i should buy a new battery an try that.

in just a few hours its dead if im runnin cd player an my compressors

 

What kind of amperage do the cd player and compressors draw?

 

If your doing that with the car off, then yeah it will drain the battery quickly.

If its with the car off, sounds like you have a bad ground somewhere thats draining the battery.

 

im not sure what the cd player draws but the comp its bout 30 or 40 amps but i dont let them run with out the truck runnin, cuz i know that the comps will run the battery dead

well i done some checkin an it looks that my alt is bad so i am gonna take it down to the rebuild shop an get it checked again an rebuilt, an also see what it will cost me to get more amps out of it

 

rebuilt? i say grab a remanufactured one off autozone or whatever it is they do.

 

no i dont like gettin ones from autozone they dont put out as many amps as the factory one does, an plus its cheaper to get it rebuilt.

i found out what the problem was i went an got the alt checked again an he said that its good nothin wrong with it an told me to check a few things so i did an what it was is that i blew a fuse, i guess last week i was riding hella low an hit the metal on a bridge an blew it somehow but thats all that it was was a damn fuse.
