hey people I just picked up my first pickup

obviously its missing a front grill and has a decent amount of rust but shes all there.

i've already hit a road block with it though. The truck has a charging problem that needs to be sorted out, and the spark plug threads for #1 are done for.

    anyways hello

    any seattle people on here?

Check out the events section when you get a chance. There is a big Toyota meet in the Tacoma area on October 3rd (PSTOF). I'll get a couple pictures of the grille and PM them to you.

do you guys think that zip tie keeping one side of the voltage regulator connected is the reason why my battery isnt charging?

that could be the problem are those wires under it spliced together cause that doesnt look like a stock style vr

oh yeah they are hacked like a mofo.. I'm hoping the green plug is still the same, seems as it would be beacuse the brilliant wire job is on the vr side.

Original plan was to get a 78 and under pickup longbed so that i can do dump runs and have a parts getter, but after looking at some of the build threads on here I've decided to do some restoration on it. Although I already have my hands tied into a 75 & 86 corolla sadly the truck is gonna have to take a back seat.

Post up some pics of your Corollas! I used to have a 77 Corolla w/3KC and a four speed. I miss that car. Now I drive an 08 Corolla, and my 78 p/u.

Thank you james for the VR btw your truck is sick!! i want to go for a ride in it and see how it rips. It gave me some motivation to do work on my truck.

I still need to find a condenser for the VR, I didnt want to take one of my other car and O'reilly/autozone dont have them. Does anyone know what kind i might need or if they are all the same? or where i can get one?
