Less than an hours work took a rusty pan, and made it look like this...

The same paint as the engine bay.

Kinda thinking of getting my timing cover, valve cover and intake manifold soda blasted. I say an australian guy on youtube do it and he said it was fairly cheap. (like 15 or 30 bucks for a part).

Put the engine on the floor, and took off the rear seal cover plate thingey.
Cleaned it up, and the back of the engine.
    Replaced the rear main.
    Back on the stand.
    Bolted on the sump,
    Bolted on the pan.

Went to the shop and sandblasted the timing cover and coolant bypass.

Noticed that the valves have touched the pistons before. Little tiny crescent scrapes in the pistons. :runaway:

    Moar tomorrow!

    Inbetween some side jobs...

Managed to squeeze bout 1/2 hour of work into the motor. Mounted the timing cover and had hell trying to find the bolts. Even though I know I put em in a labeled box. Grrr.

Enjoy. I knows I need to touch up a little paint here and there...

Got almost all of my new hardware to get the Celi roadworthy.

    Basically in a nutshell....

    Front calipers
    Front pads
Front wheel seals (for a repack)
    Front rotors
    Master Cylinder
    Rear wheel cyinders
    Rear drums
    Rear shoes
Rear wheel seals (to keep em from leaking)
    Rear hardware kit
    Steering box pitman seal
    Clutch hose
    Clutch slave.

We flat towed it to the shop, all jacked up in the front from no engine and trans. Im thoroughly impressed by how light that little bastard is. Was like a tin can with wheels. Cant wait to drive it with 150 plus HP.

    Pics tomorrow.

As promised. The flat towing was barking the tires the whole ~5 miles. The front tires are way cambered out and toe'd in.

A pic as it was with no engine/trans. (I got the grille, It does look less crappy with it on) Pile of goodies infront of my toolbox. All rock auto.

I didnt get to do as much as I liked to it today, but took care of other buisness.

Took both front brake assemblies apart. They looked like this...

And after painting the hubs and new bearings, a pack, rotors, caliper, hose(s), and seals...

I think it came out nice, besides the smashed to hell cap. The drivers side hub was full of water/grease mix. The outer wheel bearing was toast. So I just went ahead and got all four. Only 4 bucks each! WIN!

    Yea, Thanks :waytogo:

Soo today, I went and picked up my fuel cell. 10 Gal RCI with a rear sump and two AN fittings. Gunna look sweet underneath the bumper, with braided hoses coming off of it...

Finished the RF hub/bearings/Rotor and seal. Still need some hoses and a caliper.

Pulled the RR wheel axle out and changed the seal. Drained the diff oil and it came out like 30WT. black, but nothing really bad.

    Overfilled a little..

Want to know how tough a T-code rear is? Heres the axle matched up to a G code...

10MM bigger on the splines and on the shaft.

Me adding 40 bucks worth of Royal Purple to a rear end thats probably gunna blow up or get swapped out. Me needing a shave, sleep, and loosing 20LBS.

Fuel cell gets mounted right above my head there.

Yea cool. Dont forget those rear flares. :waytogo:

Today I Painted my rear drums. Went from bare to a sandblasted look with a cast finish paint. I painted both.

Now for serious buisness. Paid and picked up the head from the machine shop. Expensive! But they did a awesome job.

Viton valve seals under still stock springs.

    A chamber close up...

I still got to blend the bowls to the new valve seats, heres a pic of the exhaust side.

    Intake side.

The short side radius has a rough edge that has to be blended, but besides that, its pretty slick.
    Damn I like it!
