was getting 24-25mpg on 205/75/14's in the rear. now getting like 21mpg on 215/65/16's in the rear. either its that or i've been jacking around a bit (lol WOT and ****, i'll admit, i have been)
thats funny cuz my truck (stock floored, bagged, heavy as sin) on 205/40/16 gets like 24 or so and it's a dang 4 speed.
IS the thermostat stuck? Computer stuck in open loop? Open temp sending unit? Leaking cold start injector? Fuel Pressure regulator torn? Pressure? Timing? Brake/wheel bearing drag? Lots of ideas there...
An engine that isnt warmed up will run in open loop. Pre-programmed rich condition. Was your t-stat out when this started? Im confused.
so if your spedo is off you are going to be getting a false reading for mileage. remember for every mile you are off thats mileage off your gallons.
the slightly taller 215/65/16's actually corrected my speedometer to GPS accuracy. the 205/75/14's from factory are off.
I hate GPS systems they always send me in a circle and in the wrong direction. So i wouldnt trust those things. MY 2 CENTS
i do believe its it only reason it came off is because it did the iacv thing hondas do alot where it idled up and down
I'm running a Garmin 205W, they use it on Cessna private jets and it reads accurate on every other vehicle i've placed it in.
i put a new thermostat in and it wasnt a cheap one either i didnt know that it affected my pickup my truck pulls harder i guess cause it reaches operating temp now hopefully itll bring my gas milage up
i know my speedo is off but i drive around with my gps and by that i am getting 23-25mpg with a 4speed 195/65r15 3:43 rearend... if i keep my foot out of it... lol
