I have a 1993 toyota pickup that me and my dad did. it has a 3.0 3vze engine in it. i am trying to find ways to get more power out of the engine. i love everything about my truck, i just want it to have more power

Unfortunately you have about the worst engine toyota made especially when it comes to trying to get more power...

Other than throwing money at LC Engineerings performance parts...

You can get a better intake and exhaust which will give it a bit more throttle response... If you can get away with it take the cat off the exhaust... That helped mine a lot

    I would swap a 3.4 5vze or a GM 5.3l v8
Of course I'm biased towards the 5.3 since that's what I'm doing 8)

    Good luck !!

I had Doug thorley headers and a throttle body spacer on a 4-runner a few years ago with an air raid intake that seemed to do a little but if your lookin for raw power, throw that 3.slow in the dirt and go with the 3.4. sorry to say it but you just wont get much from your current set up without loads of cash and with that being said...a 3.4 is cheaper and easier.

Yeah, i have read all about how people say the 3.0 is slow and you cannot get any power out of it. Theres not anything i can do to get atleast 40 morehp out of the thing.from what i have seen it is more expensive to do a swap then try and put money into the 3.0 in my truck already. how much/hard is a 3.4swap and how much more power? ive heard that 22re is better also?how? 22re turbo? NEED AS MUCH INFO AS I CAN GET.

drop shocks dont lower your truck, they are just 2 inches shorter so when your suspension cycles you dont bottom out your shocks accidentally.

no. 2 inch blocks + stock shocks = 2 inch total drop
2 inch blocks + 2 inch drop shocks = 2 inch total drop

They are a good investment. But i would go with 4in blocks in back with torsions turned and b/j flip in front.
