hahaha a new whore for the harem! picking up a 70 lux on sunday! this truck is clean, has one spot of damage on the left front corner but nothing too big. can be cleaned up or find a fender. Other then that this truck is CLEAN! even has 4 og wheels with the og hubcaps! enjoy the pics i took these pics in the lot where i checked it out, ill have better pics sunday
some more pics...just got it home, fixed some vaccum leaks, need to bleed the slave but have nobody here to help so ill do that later and its got a ton of slop in the steering, but thats easily fixed again when i have someone here to turn the wheel so i can see whats broken. Other then those items it drives pretty good.
this pic was taken before i started removing crap that didnt need to be there. the pcv hose was hooked directally to the intake manifold making a HUGE vaccum leak...i think thats why the guy sold it so cheap, couldnt get it to run right like that... i had already plugged it with a temp plug when i took this pic, i have stuff at my shop i can use to cap that port on the intake, im at home though so this is just a quick fix to get it driveable to the shop.
That looks even sweeter at your pad! Those pics show the real true clean look of your new truck. We have alot of SD guys over on customtacos that are always helping each other out. We have mod days so if you need help I could use a lesson on a hilux. Man, I wish I could pick up a treasure like yours. I have to finish my 82 first so I can start looking for one.
thanks! i dont know what im going to do with this truck, i got it cause i dont find them very often, but like i said eariler i dont know what im going to do with 3 trucks... if someone offered me the right price i would let this one go.
dorky side by side shot.... and ya the spare is on on the 70...guy drove on a flat tire...definitly not safe to have on the truck right now, sidewall all ate up.
gonna get it to my work and get it running, stoping turning and shifting right...then go from there...
Must be nice starting with a truck that hasn't been neglected for the past 20 + years! I'm still working on cleaning and painting mine inside and out and underneath before I can even think getting it drivable. Sometimes even free isn't such a good deal in the end.
