well the titan is an awesome truck but it cant handle what I want it to do on a daily basis... I guess a 8 inch lift with 11 inch wide extreme low offset rims isnt the best for a indepedant front suspension truck... the truck is awesome but the lift and wheels I have arent the best setup for it and I cant keep the front end aligned.. Im on my 4th alingment in 4 months ? about 3k miles... any how, tired of the 10mpg and it being slow with lift and rims so looking at diesels.. found a few im gunna try and get tomorrow if i like them enough on the test drive.

let me know what ya thing : ) and if you wanna buy my titan, I will take 18.5k for it, thats what the dealer is giving me for trade and you know thats gunna be resold at like 23 or some crap..

heres the few Im looking at, the first one is probably going to be the one ill end up with if I get one tomorrow because I think its the cleanest looking stock truck and its got a sweet price.

I really dont want anything older then 2006 but this ones sweet..

I want a to put some semi wheels on this one but I dont know if i would like driving such a wide truck every day...

I already test drove this one, but its an 04, kinda dumb to downgrade from an 07 with 50k miles to a 04 with 100k and go a little up on payments.... but this thing HAULS ASSSSS its got the whole banks system.. I talked them down to 22k.

this one is boring but i could get it for probably 20k and its got really low milesss

Dont get a Dodge. The engines are stellar, but they are because there not from chrysler! The truck will fall apart around you. trust me.

    Now for the F250 diesels,

Do not buy a 6.0 unless you know how to work on em. I work on them on a daily basis and they make me alot of money. Seriously, injectors, injector pumps, FICMs, EGR coolers, turbos, headgaskets... Ive done em all. (and all of those parts are super expensive.

At work TODAY I am putting injectors in a 6.0 ambulance van. (insert suicide smiley here).

A 7.3 is a true winner. If you got a Ford truck, that would be the one. If your price savvy, youll notice a 7.3 truck retails higher than a newer 6.0 diesel. They are much more desireable because they do not break!

But honestly a cam sensor will go out on you sometime, leaving it dead in the water at least once...

Alot of trucks came with a lined fuel tank. That crap comes apart all of the sudden and plugges the fuel system solid. Taking out the tank, filters and all 8 injectors. I dont know exactly, but I think its 06 and newer....research it.

And I do not have enough experiance with Chevy/Duramax engines to comment. :waytogo:

Not seen any duramax issues and the allison (read school bus) trans is pure magic. I've heard similar to the 6.0 ford (notes above) here and there. Dodge engine is wonders ... rest of truck ruster like our toys amongst some electrical issues depending on the year.

no I wont lol the dodge is an ugly turd POS. it has no interior, and nothing else nice about it but a good motor.

well im in it for the comfy, not in the business of pulling houses lol

hmmm if I were a logger I would probably be going for a 7.3 but I dont want anything that old, newer cars fall apart, they arent made like the toyotas we drive.

I know, I wouldnt do that I dont have the money but I would eventually put it on some 24s. and street tires

I suggest not getting a Superduty with the coil spring front suspension. A buddy of mine has an '06, and when you hit a bump at an angle, they have a death wobble that shakes the whole truck. Here's a video, watch the front wheel and bed...

Seriously, dont even touch a 6.0, I am speaking from experiance on both. We have a 1995 7.3 powered truck with 260k miles and the motor is as it came from the factory other than the most basic maintinence, timing set, headgaskets, injectors, glow plugs, etc.. are all original, all it gets is occasional air filters, oil filters, etc.... Since about 170k its gotten an oil change about every 10k. Its daily driven and we tow a car trailor about once a month or so. We had a 6.0 truck and it just started falling apart after about 100k, turbo, headgasket, etc... and this was with religious dealership maintinence, oil changes on factory interval everything. There is a reason people are so adamant about the quality of the 7.3 and how much they dislike the 6.0

im just sayin u want to find a weakspot in anything hand it to a bunch of loggers they will have it tore apart in about 2 months if its junk and my bosses son has a 04 with the 6.0 he gets about 17mpg with a chip (Up From 12mpg) and exaust and has put several thousand dollars into the motor in repairs... in the 1 year he has had it hes put the Upgraded EGR (Or w/e they say fixes all the problems with the 6.0... havent seen it work) headgaskets, fuel pump, oil pump, and im sure there are other items i have missed. theres nothing wrong with a 02 ford with the 7.3 and manual gearbox

I think Id rather wait till an 08 is in my price range. I test drove the 2 craigslist ones and I liked them alot but idk if im going to get anything or wait a little longer, seams like we might need a new a/c unit for the house soon.

    :runaway: A 6.4 is a bigger problem child than a 6.0

I can only reccomend, but it would be your funeral. The cab must be pulled off the frame to do any knid of repairs. And they do break.

The last straw in Fords ties with International was the 6.4. It got them in a big mess and ford quit having them build engines for their trucks. The 6.7, the new FORD engine, has had zero problems so far at the dealership where some freinds of freinds work.

    Hope it helps.:verdict_in:

Not to be a rude, but have you guys seen the video link I posted of the superduty's with the coil spring front suspension? Here's a link to the site. They have a video and products to fix the issue, cause Ford won't recall it.

Maybe its just me, but I want more than just a dependable motor.

I work with him in the same shop.... dude, don't ****ing go there with those
6.0s and 6.4s.... don't get me wrong, they are BEAUTIFUL trucks but the engines are
some POS!!.... just get advice from Raffaelli and "Red1979SR5" to me, he sounds like he knows what's going on... yea they have good power TOO but unless you wanna be spending, ohhh lets say, $1k or more on repairs every 2-6 months, then don't buy a 6.0 or 6.4.... FORD POWERSTROKE 7.3 or 6.7 my boy!!! thats the way to go!!!!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oy0ymIRilw4
