doesnt take much to kill a 5.slow but I mean I think your paying too much for the work your getting done.
i drove my truck for the first time since march! and will hopefully be using it as my daily from here on out
...changed out the oil&filter, air filter, spark plugs, two radiator hoses, and the radiator cap (cracked gasket), set the valve lash (1/2 were OK, three were tight, one was way loose), and set the timing (WAY out of spec....like...20 degrees ADC...I actually had to pull the dizzy to get enough adjustment to bring it into spec. ). She runs MUCH better now...
+1! bought more oil and a new oil pan gasket. gonna put it up in the air (yet again) to clean the oil pan and check the pickup screen to see if that is the cause of my low oil pressure light.
did a bj flip.. doesnt look like theres much of a difference tho... put on a 4x4 grill..still needs work cuz SOMEBODY thought it would be cool to fabricate fog lights and chop it up! next up is to install sounds, rework the exhaust, and swap my stock steelies for some wide offsets!
haha sounds like me.. whenever it rains near my ranch, my nissan gets sideways!!! i have some beautiful turns where i stay... only bad side is that theres multiple blind turns! i just make sure im in my lane..haha! soon my x-cab will be sideways.. maybe even in local comps!...if it doesnt fall apart first
Today, I clean out my storage shed. Loaded up the truck with as much scrap metal as I could and dropped the scrap off at Recycling. Made 2 trips and pocketed $98.00
lololol thats awesome, woulda sucked if it yanked your bed off... Anyways after trying to fight the rain my friend drove over my hood in his mazda mini with the 22r... so my trucks fugly right now and he owes me a hood...sucks is he paid me 150 of the 250 he already owed me today lol and his paycheck was only 190 haha feel bad for him... so I had to hurry and get my stuff out the rain and put it by my front door which isnt cool.. rain cooled off so I hurried and put the motor in the truck by myself.. took me a little less than 2 hours.. I was fighting with the drive shaft....
it was raining and all the stuff was in the bed of his truck so he backed to my door and when he left he pulled out the other way... didnt see it...
Damn he really did run it over.... Sorry bout that bro, sucks too coz he's a friend and you can't beat him up!
bought my electric fuel pump ($50) ... 15 bucks in new fuel line and wire to run power to the pump I think my checking account is down to 4 dollars and I have just enough cash to pay my ticket jeez im ready for this to be done and over with !!! got the driveshaft on, and the motor is pretty much all hooked up but it storms every 15 minutes of sun so I cant get sht done.
fixed my horn on the 4runner and than had a little time and installed the upper cando arms on the widow
Put the rest of the engine back together and poured in the coolant, couldn't start it, got too late and my daughter went to sleep. I'll be firing it up in the morning. I'm guessing once the carb fills with fuel it'll start right up, then check the timing and watch for leaks. Keeping my fingers crossed. If there's no issues it's an oil change, alignment and away I go! Wish me luck!
