2jz speedo

    can i use my stock electric speedometer on a 2jz with r154 or do i have to find a cable? just curious let me know please thankyou.

    i dont know if the r154 is cable driven. if it is sure you can use the cable, but i think your speedo is going to be off...

    edit..you should just gimme your 2jz and ill figure it out for ya :)

    uh oh supply n demand for 2j 92 pickups with 8 dollar carpet and a 50 dollar system that hits hard as some 15s just went up ill let it go for 1 mil :nana:

    ha ok i got like 2 hours of sleep so like anythings funny to me right now had to drive my cuz and my friend through different towns to get them home last time i play DD ha

    Do you have the transmission? easiest way to tell is to look at the rear housing on the trans: if it's got the electrical pickup, you can probably use it. if it's got the cable speedo connection, you'll need to convert to the electronic pickup. I don't know if you can swap the electronic speed sensor from your old trans to the R154 but if you can, you'll need both gears and the sensor itself.

    Yeah he's right u will have to get a electric vss for the r154 problem is they never came with a electric one but you can find a very similar one in shape then just swap out the gear from the cable vss that's what I did on my swap with my 1jz pickup and r154 I have a how to on swapping out the gears on myjzswap.com under the 1jz section...

    Th R154's have a cable speedo. The auto's were electronic.

    Myjzswap.com or Driftmotion.com can get the adapter to go from cable to electronic, pricey but those two companies can get them.
