Hi everybody!!! Well, today I need your help.... I have a Toyota Pick up 22R...so,. I have a question... How tomake this swap: gaskethead of 20R in Block of 22R..... I see lot of people here in TM that they have this swap in theirs trucks.... But my mechanic say me that this swap is imposible, because he say that the pistons of 20R are bigger than the pistons of 22R...So,explain me please how to make this swap..... Thanks....
your mechanic is only half right. It depends on the 22r block. If you have the block that has the double timing chain its an easy swap, if it has a sligle row timing chain its not worth the swap. does your have the single or double row?
there is a write up somewhere on here about how to do the swap, im sure someone will chime in on how to do it... its easy though
Sory.................. I want to put a 20R head on 22R block...(head gasket=empaque....head=culata)... Sorry...my english is bad...
oh in that case if u have a pre 85 block (Dual row chain) i think it might just be a drop on fit i know u have to use the intake off the 20r the 22r intake wont bolt up but the exuast will theres a few people that have done this swap... and u can do it with the 85+ blocks but requires machining
