I've noticed that alot of you guys are running 8-9" front wheels and 225 series front tires and even wider tires and wheels in the back. How are you guys getting away with that and not rubbing your inner fender wells? im running 205's on a 7.5" wheel front and back, dont know the backspacing but this pic is pretty good view to see how they sit in the fenders. http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i129/stampedeman2/IMG_0427.jpg Im getting rubbing in the front and back when cornering on the inner fender well.
Before I did the 84+ suspension, my 7in fronts rubbed the ball joint under SEVERE cornering forces. The wheel, BJ, Spindle, would flex that 3/8-1/2 of an inch in a mean turn. IDK the backspacing/offset. But I could look. Then the front swap pushed the wheels outward like an inch or more. The rears were never a problem. They only rub when I would go into a steep angle driveway at a off angle. Like from the side. I have 225's front, But I should have gone 255 all around. I was able to torch the crap out of the RR in accel, and can slide the fronts way to easy with the Lexxus brakes. Hope it helps. (check the beginning pages of my build thread for pics.)
I have 225's all around my truck...The fronts will rub if I try to get full lock but I've had no real trouble with the rubbing...
