I want to perform the torsion bar drop. How far can I go down (how many turns) and what is the best way to do this... jack it up?

Jack the front of the truck up & get the weight off the tires. Make sure to place jack stands under it for safety!! Ok...look at the end of the bar where the bolt is & youll see two nuts on top. Remove the top nut so youll be able to loosen the lower nut...the top nut is there to lock the lower one in place. After you get the top nut off take a closed end wrench & place it on the top nut & it will wedge itself in place when you start to turn the bolt at the bottom. Its really hard to say how many turns youll do cause its all up to you on how low you want to go. Just try to keep count of the one side you do so youll be close when you do the other side! If you get stuck or have anymore questions then feel free to ask!

smctoy said it all! but there is one thing to keep in mind you might want to do before you lower it! get some whiteout or a bright color paint marker to mark the orginal location and then go on. just a thought you might want to consider just incase you want to bring it back to stock.

Actually lol it's funny you are telling me this. What I really need is a set of arms to complement my Belltech drop spindles. I guess that means I will need bags too. But for the rear I have a Firestone Freightliner bag. I am getting obsessed with this truck sitting in my Dad's garage. But I think he wants it out of there soon.
