So after a few months of work, i have tossed out the half blown 3.0L V6, for a fresh 7MGTE! And it runs and drives like a champ!

Ok I'm completely new to this. I know by the title you swapped in a motor from a Supra? Is that a V6 as well? How does it bolt up, same bellhousing and mounts? What about the electrical. I'm curious how difficult this is to do. What's the power difference compared to the 3.0?

Hey. Well the 7MGTE is a in line 6 turbo. The power difference stock is quite more! I noticed a huge difference. I used a 5 spd tranny out of the Supra itself. That way it bolts right to the engine. I used the w58. It came on the N/A supra engines. Only cause a R154 was not at hand (R154 is what comes with a turbo car). It is a stronger tranny but the W58 is holding up for now. The electrical end of things was pretty easy. Only needed about 7 or 8 wires to have it running and or 7 more for all my sensors. Very easy wiring. Other than that, made mounts, hooked up all the systems, had my drive shaft shortened, and a few other things. All in all not to bad and lots of stock power that can be increased for sure!

Thx for the info. This is something I'd definately be interested in doing down the road on my truck!

Looks good, and I agree, take it to the track and see what she runs.
