    i bought it for $100

77 20r-4speed might be a 5 speed but i was scared to try while driving it with a frozen caliper on the freeway

looks to be a early 90's lowrider project complete with a tweed interior, well done channeled frame, and air shocks in the back/ cut springs in the front. comeplete set of yet to be named 14's with dead low pro's

    anywayz, time for some pics

towed it away from the crackheads house to the nearest gas station, threw some fresh gas in and it started right up

    note: tabs say '96
    [IMG]

drove it about 10mi on the freeway to my friends house, only real problems were the flat spots in the tires and the locked caliper, and i think i boiled the brake fluid on the way
    [IMG]

missing all of the side markers
    [IMG]

holy F its tweed, even the headliner... but why purposely put in a brown interior with blue truck?

best pic i can get atm of the frame channel, but you cant see the welds, no sign of cracking and the whole frame is painted green. the shock mounts are what you see off to the left, those dont look so hot but i havent really checked em out yet.

Super nice find! Every now and then we Toyota mini owners find jewels hiding in the strangest of places, I too know this feeling. Congrats on the find! Goodluck with your NEW project, Im sure itll work out great for you! DiggN the brown tweed ;) j.k. man, twas better than my thrashed blanket seat cover & cracked dash, although my door panels are mint ( black - original ). Best $100 youve probably ever spent man huh?!

yep one of my better deals.

best deal i made was for my celica, $75 i threw a new starter in it and drove it home after it sat for 5 years. dude wasnt thrilled i did the starter in his driveway. still driving it today when its not torn apart.

    back to the truck.

got a better look at it today. lots of crack head style touches, and oddly some decent work. its like the PO started smoking crack while building this truck.

the shock mounts are moved back 2in on some custom plates welded to the frame, and it looks like the bed was cutout more to do the work then for the diff to clear...

but there is no chance in hell of that becoming a problem at the moment, the air shocks are flat and the shocks almost bottomed out in the pics above. with air the rear rises another 5in:eek:

i under stand the old ass in the sky look but this seems above and beyond the call of duty. shorter air shocks and flipping the springs is comin up. im also gonna murder the truck with flat black

hell ill drive it down there for gas n food and 3-4 days on the couch

now back to the new truck

got some pics of the doesnt make sence suspension/bed mods
    [IMG]

its not even like the shocks are in a different position or they use different mounts or the diff could come anywhere near the bed
    [IMG]

gonna fix the suspension in the rear so it fully uses the channel, use the new shock mounts to plate the frame over the channel, install a bended chunk to fix the cross bar.

then air shocks powered by a converted a/c pump

That truck looks just fine without the canopy:D just as well, the one I want it for is in boxes too. Someday:rolleyes: just been to hot to get motivated, besides I hate sanding and bodywork, another motivation killer.

i thought sanding and body work were a good reason for a rat rod with flat black paint:D
