Hi guys, any info on lifting a 76 pickup? I want to also convert the stock 14 inch rims to 15 or maybe 16. any advice would be appreciated!
the only 73-78 yotas that i've seen lifted have been put on 79-83 straight front axle frames. all the body mounts had to be redone.
Unless you just want a little lift. And staying 2wd. Then you could make some changes up front. Taller coils, balljoint spacers, crossmember relocation (it bolts in, could be spaced downwards), ect. As for the rims, you would need to find a larger diameter hoop that has the right size inside. I haven't come across anything. It could be done. But adapting the stock center cap to a pre-existing larger steelie might be easier.

My pickup is lifted and I'm running 31 10.5 r15. Your biggest problem is going to be the tires hitting the cab- I know mine do. I'm also in the process of fabricating a long travel front end. I'll move the hubs forward 2-3 inches and that should be good. Also, the rear steer setup is awesome- but some heims and chromo wont do no harm
