nice! I'm at 174,650 and I'm getting about 23mpg (that's city driving, including alot of WOT... and rain drifts.. and then this random CEL that made it run rich for about 20miles.) Get your valve wires fixed up?
Picked up my aluminum V8 today! started stripping the cab of any un-needed wiring... what a mess! enjoy the pics
lmfao badass Nice 5.3L!!! I guess everyone's at the point where we just want something instead of a xxR hahahaha you guys still motivate me. Yesterday I fixed my ground wire for my amp, filled up $10 @ $2.619 = $3.819 gallons... so sad. I drove so effin slow and efficiently last night...
Today on my truck... I frowned at its front end sitting on blocks. And scoped out Wilwood Forged Dynalite Rear Parking Brake Kit And Superlite 6R Big Brake Front Brake Kit (Hat) Differences being that the calipers on both will be different, and the front rotors will match the width of the rear. All will SOMEDAY be on an: Art Morrison Straight Frame With C6 Corvette IFS Tri 4 Bar Rear And ARG power rack and pinion front steering. Planning all this before a 2JZ-GTE Big dreams eh?
....I surprized the hell out of guy in a beemer when he tried to shoot past me getting on the interstate. I dropped into 3rd at 60 mph and stayed in front of him. He gave me the thumbs up when he slowly passed me when we were doin about 95-100. I backed off at that point. Don't tell my wife!
slugged along at 35-40... then i got pissed off or something tonight and hit 80. (78 on gps? stupid...) and then i just coasted all the way down... still surprised im still on this 3.819 gallons... lol
Took pics today, still a work in progress. The dash is a 75 Landcruiser that I removed the padding and shortened 6 inches. I still got a lot of work to do to it. I also found the 1 piece molded door panels that come in the 85-88 turbo trucks. Gonna try to have power windows with the smokers windows (I don't think toyota made that an option). Gonna try to make the smokers windows power too. Got a few more tricks under my sleeves like a mad scientist!
Got a pair of KYB GR-2 shocks for the front, replaced the drivers side, started on the passenger and discovered the issue thats causing the truck to ride low on that side since the accident I limped it away from. Gotta pull the lower arm off the parts truck and replace it on my white yota. Makes me happy to know what the problem is and that I already have the part
Changed the oil and got rid of the ghetto vacuum cleaner hose looking intake coupler on my 4wd. Also found a tornado thingy in the intake tube and threw it out.
Test ran the Supra VAFM mod... Didn't notice much of a difference, except it runs a little hotter than with the stocker...
