I have a 86 22r carb pickup. I have replaced the missing fuses, links. In the relay and fuse box there is no connection for the 80amp relay(not sure if carb truck were equipped with it). when I turn the key i get no response. So i ran a wire to the starter solenoid and with a switch attempted to turn on the truck. the motor turn over and tryed turning on(this truck has ran in over ten years:eyecrazy:). I got spark. But what would cause no response from key and what would keep it from turning on.

Also there is a plug that is underneath the seat on the passenger side that was cut. what does it power or go to?

On mine, there is like 3 or 4 wires coming off of the batt + terminal including the starter cable. (stock).

If any of those comes loose or breaks, its lights out. Compleatly dead. It happened to me twice now.

    Look there. :waytogo:

Thats the connector to the rest of the harness which leads to the back used for brake lights/taillights/signals/license plate light

I get a response when the key is turned(the battery icon lights up on the dash). Do all of the trucks have a 80 amp fuse link?
