Need to move this brace back a few inches for clearance you can kinda see the drive line was rubbing on it as well..

They are 16's and hes running 225 40 16... He said there where Grand Am wheels but wasnt 100% sure.

edit just looked at your wheels and the lip design is different.

Had a lil snafu with some of the parts and had to wait but things are moving a a lot quicker now. I'm about a month out. happy happy joy joy

If I was you, just look for a frame! Keep the body and you should bag the mini!!!

 

I've been casually looking for a running abused/wrecked truck but haven't come across anything worth buying.

I'm trying to figure out if the listed price includes their internal shipping or not, they said they couldn't tell me unless I gave them my VIN number, which I didn't have with me ??? Perhaps tomorrow ??

 

Update time.. Day job has been keeping me away from the swap but the body is on permanently!! wohooo!!!!!! What a relief!! Por-15 all the welds and the whole rear axle. even did a custom hidden hitch. That i still need to work out the details on...

Now just doing some motor upgrades and getting all the wiring tucked nice and neat. Should be driving it in a week but I think I'll say end of August sh!t always tends to come up with this build...

Once the intercooler is mounted and the bumper is back on Ill adjust the coilovers!! so that the front is a lil lower.

BTW any one have a suggestion on what to use to remove 3m double sided tape. Thats whats on the lower part of the car now. It had soem late 80s decor on it that i need to remove...

 

So nasty. I love this thing man.

 

Cool conversion, especially witth the coilovers and motor swap. A mate did one similar but retained factory style suspension.


Was running a 289 Ford V8 and Toyota 5 speed.

Use some 3m adheasive remover or goop off or maybe a 3m eraser wheel to get the tape off.
