I went to pick out some rims today cause my wife gave me the ok but there was a problem, see the guy tells me he only has 20in rims that will bolt right up but nothin in a smaller size. I dont want to go that big, im trying to stay with a 17 or 18in rim. So my question is how did you guys get your custom rims to fit? I saw a pair of these there or somthing like these there that i liked but need to know how to get them to fit.

just put em on. if they hit something then use a BFH...

If they hit something with the steering then theyre too high of an offset. and just use spacers.

I had to cut out one of my fenderwells when i had my 19"s i wasnt dropped. they just rubbed like crazy wen i hit any bump

wheel spacers, just make sure you get the nice billet bolt on adapters with studs, not just the cheesy shim/spacer looking ones.

Its a pain in the ass to find anything smaller then a 20 with the right offset to look good without spacers. I have +35 offset wheels and they clear everything fine without spacers, but they look way too sucked in without them.

    try to use this:

    http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp

you can plug in the specs of the stock wheels, then plug in the specs of the wheels your lookin at, and it will tell you how well it will clear, as well as how it will affect the speedo.

I have a similar problem. All the tire shops around here are telling me that I can't get wheels with a lip on my truck, and that I have to run fwd style rims.

i found some 17X9s with +35 offset, but thinkin the rim width is too much. they have a 3" lip though :waytogo:

They always say that....they didn't want to sell me mine either. I told them that I will cut out whetever is in the way. I think they were afraid I would return them. For the record, mine only hits the stock pinch weld when I take a driveway at an angle too fast and thats only because I have drop spindles/bj flip and mass travel still (haven't even touched the torsions yet). I plan to bag some day so I will have to tub anyway but I bet if I just trimmed out the pinch weld area they would never hit at all (not a big fan of the BFH). They are 20x8.5 +40 offset running 235/30R20 tires and I am running no spacers.

My 17s might be for sale soon, and they tuck hard, especially in the back till I get my Z done
