Bracket for a 75 20r a/c compressor

    I am looking for the mounting hardware for the a/c compressor for a 75 20r engine. Wanting to get some air goin into my hilux

    I gots no truck, for now
    someone will correct me if im wrong, but the old A/C stuff from the early 22r motors ( pre 84 i think ) should fit, and should be fairly easy to find in the junk yards

    Yes and no.

    I had an '82 (22R) just over a year ago, and sold the working AC unit out of it to a guy with a '76 (20R). The thing he ran into when he tried to install it right there in front of me was that he needed to have my smog pump and smog pump bracket. The 20r smog pump pulley wouldn't line up with the 22r AC compressor/bracket.

    But, if you're smog exempt, then you have no worries. :D

    If memory serves, I believe the dryer units are mounted on opposite sides between the two trucks, but my buyer was still able to bolt it all up and make it work - after I went ahead and traded my smog pump and bracket for his.

    Lastly, I do run into unmolested AC units in the yards up here. Although not every single time out. But they do pop up.
