For the front: cutting, fabricating, and welding, for the back: well.... cutting, fabricating, and welding, lol I wish it were as easy as buying a bolt on kit but it's just not so, for the 87s at least.

my 86 had a bolt on kit for the front from airbagit.com.

it didn't provide the most lift, but was plenty strong. the truck was fast bagged and could hop about a foot off the ground. the torsion kits are better in my opinion though.

front not bad depending on how big of wheels.. mines a early 90's body style and all you gotta do is take out the torsion bars and work out placement of the upper bag plates lower can just mount direct.. if your the same body need to get a new tranny crossmember to help lay it even and either raise your lower arms and make a new crossmember for under the motor which is what i did or z the front which really you would need to pull the motor to do.. if you dont do that it wont lay even the front will be a good 2" higher laid out... the back aint bad you'll need to decide on which link setup one want to run... there's 2 link 3 link a and 4 links.. also where you wanna mount your bags.. over the axle is the easiest. i personally am a fan of 4 links but you'll have to relocate you gas tank... as for parts shop around your looking for a torsion bar bag kit for the front several people have em... anything else i can help with hit me up

If it is a triangulated 4link it keeps the rear end in one spot with no side to side movement. It gives you a better ride than the leaf springs an if you mout the bag on bar you'll have a nice ride an alot of lift depending where the bag is placed. An less psi to lift the rear. On the front you'll have to remove the torsion, cut out bumpstops, there's a little hump you'll need to cut out an then plate the opening. When I did my front I went with cando control arms so all I had to deal with was upper bag plate then drill a hole for the bottom. There are a few threads on here. Seard projects in the like 79-83 year you'll see mine titled project back to a yota

You don't need control arms you could use your stocks. I bought the cando specialties ones just because It eliminated the strut bar an they look alot cleaner. Warning they're not cheap by any means

ok so honestly i say u do A LOT of research before u take on this task. Especially if you plan on doing this yourself. Unless u plan on having someone more experienced do the job for you i suggest u dont even try it. I say u use the 2 month period u said u were guna do this in do this in and take that time to research. theres alot involved. Easy wen u kno whats up but u seem to be getting confused.

the hardest part is going to be the front so you can do the rear if you dont want to waste time and in the mean time keep doing research and making a plan to accoplish the front. and to make everything easier i would get the CANDO arms also add the spindles.
