3 inch BS would be my semi uneducated guess (not sure of your year trucks space).

I was hoping to go with the 2in backspace to clear suspension components, and not to modify the fenders, to run the fattest tire possible.

    Anyone tried?

I only plan to slightly lower the truck, because I need it to still be useful hauling stuff.
Probably won’t even do the ball joint flip.

Eventually it’s going to have a Supercharged 3400, or a V-8 swap that’s going to settle the front end due to weight, the rear may only get modified shackles or new springs to level it out.

Ooops, my bad, I meant the 2" backspace would stick out more. What about getting wider wheels?

What is the backspace on those Weds in your avitar, KYNgsx?

Wider wheels are and option, but the issue is the availability of wide & low 15" tires.

I haven’t done a ton of research yet but price ($84 on tire rack) vs. size for the Sumi 225/50-15 is the widest street tire I’ve come across. Not really fond of the BFG G-force Sport because its directional and $20 more. Only other 15” option is going to a specialty tire like a Hoosier R6 or Kumho VictoRacer both aren’t really street tires and twice the price.

I was going to run these but when I can buy 3 Sumi’s for the price of one Yoko that really doesn’t make sense, and when the motor swap it complete I’m just going to have a second set with drag radials on them.

My Welds are 15x7 3.5 offset. I guess it is pretty hard to find wide tire sizes until you get to the 17" size.
