I don't agree with the 1000 posts thing. There are a few members here who have the knowledge and experience, and are here every day even though they don't post in every thread.

Sometimes just a watchful eye is what is needed.

Someone who has been a member for over 2 years and is logged in frequently enough to put out fires is what is needed, not just someone who knows how to "Submit Reply".

I agree on that. There are lots of post whores, but there are plenty of people who post less and are walking encyclopedias (burnz is a perfect example of the latter).

    Hey Fellas,

Let me see if I can clear up a couple things here. I appreciate everyone's passion for the site and everyone's willingness to help in this thread.

First: Yes, I agree that having an extra moderator or two on here would be a good idea. After all, with everything I have going on in my life, I can't be on here as much as I'd like. I've already been talking with a few members about the possibility of being moderators and I'll be making selections in a few days. Again, thanks to everyone who has contacted me about wanting to be a moderator. As I'm sure you can imagine, it is crucial that good, trustworthy moderators are chosen.

Second: John (lownloud), I'm seriously not sure what happened to your moderator status. I certainly don't remember changing it - but I'm finding that I forget more and more things as I get older. :( So, I've fixed your mod status, so you're good to go. Glad to see you back - and glad to hear whatever personal issues you have are cleared up. :)

Also, someone mentioned that a few weeks ago we had a problem on the site with a spammer. Since I don't always have time to be on here to see that activity, I depend on our close-knit community (that's YOU! :) ) to help out by reporting this bad activity using the "Report this Post" button that appears on every post with the [IMG] icon. Simply click that link, and I'll receive an email within minutes.

Finally, thanks to everyone for their continued support of the site. I must apologize for not being as visible this year as I have been in the past. I started my own business and that has kept me very very busy. I'm so excited at how this site has stayed true to its roots: A very friendly, helpful bunch of mini truckers. :D

im not as seasoned or even like to pretend i know what im talking about but i love this site and it doesnt hurt to use the search button. i learnt that a little late but i have already saved about 25 threads from starting just by doing a little research.

i relocated mine the the frame rail just below the passenger seat.....i figured it's there for just about any reason, so may as well use it....wasnt as well challenging because i experienced my cab...

They seem to be getting smarter and trying to blend in, but it just doesnt work haha.

Yeah, they're pretty obvious. And English is definitely not their primary language. Can't quite figure out if it's a bot or not...
