Anyone know what I'm talking about?!?

I have been looking for an online BBS with door games that is active. I found a really good one with all the doors I used to play, but there is no active playerbase. I would love to find an active BRE Interplanetary league.

Hmm... I guess there aren't too many old school BBS Door gamers, or at least any others that will admit to it...

Ah, I remember back in the day when I got my top-of-the-line 286 with EGA/VGA graphics card, 10 meg hard disk, combination 5.25" and 3.5" drives, internal sound card, and 2400 baud modem with MS-DOS.

There used to be these BBS's I used to log onto via the phone line to play online games (this was pre-Internet): Barren Realms Elite, Legend of the Red Dragon, and Usurper, to name a few. When the Internet grew, sadly, BBS's failed and dropped off. However, there are a few BBS's that are still up that are exposed to the Internet.

I found one that has a buch of cool old school online games, but there doesn't seem to be much of a playerbase (just me on some of the games). If anyone wants to get on and see what some of it is about: telnet://tmcbbs.com

Hey, I know what you're talking about, I think. This sounds similar (at least in timeframe) to some of the MUDs that I used to play on in the old days of the Internet. Sometimes I miss those days. :)

Yeah, they are similar. I used to play a bunch of MUDs too. I still would if I didn't have such time-sucks as family and the pick-up.
