Next to your pickup, what is your most prized possession? We all have our Toyotas in common and our passion for them is obvious. I just thought it would be kinda cool to get a chance to know one another a little bit more by way of other possessions in our lives that matter to us a lot. Although to really make this exercise worth while, please, none of the following: Nothing vehicle related. Nothing living or breathing. Key phrase here is prized possession. Tell us about it. Allow me to kick this off..... Next to my HiLux, my Rawlings PRO-SBT, Heart of the Hide, Made in the U.S.A. baseball glove is my most treasured possession. Perfect size for an outfielder, without being abnormally large. Tough to find in any condition because it's typically a glove that is "collected" rather than used. But since I've never been the type to own a trailer queen, I use mine in both pick up games of baseball and softball. Although I must admit, I don't use it in the rain. Come on guys and gals, don't be shy!
Besides the 3rd generation in the family truck. And my top of the line, veery emcompasing tool set... My black Stetsons cowboy hat. I honestly feel like a million bucks, and every woman wants me. What more could you ask for? Hard to explain the significance. I feel taller, better looking, more confident and I could do or say anything and it wouldnt matter. Now that I think about it, its almost like a mask.
I live to race and race to live... what I own beyond that is not much. since I can't list cars or blood, I think I'm going to run with the compy I'm typing from.
Well, since I can't say my kids..... It's two things.... my mountain bike, a 2009 Cannondale F7 (cause every free moment I get I'm out riding) ...and my tv, a Toshiba 46" LCD 1080p (cause we've always wanted one so we bought one with taxes this year)
Wow, see, that wasn't so hard. Really appreciate the effort. Now, I can get a better feel for who you are, rather than just a forum name and your year/model pickup truck. Vise versa. Needless to say there's so much more to us than just our possessions, but I figured this is a great way to go about without getting too personal. Really cool. Thanks. Now for the rest of you...
well my prized possesion would be my wheelchair. It's a quickie 2 lite. mettelic orange with 3 spoke front casters and a gel filled cushion.
I have two passions and here are my others. I have played guitar for 13 yrs now and havent stopped. I love music. Heres my Fender Showmaster And just picked up drums a couple years ago so I have a 6 piece Pearl EX set with the works Any time my neighbors have a party till 3am. I bring my amp next to there window at 8am and let her rip, volume at 10! Never heard a peep from them since hahaha.
Thats awesome!! I did the same thing with my neighbor, but with the stereo in my truck....since my parking spot is right in front his apartment.
Dude my neighbors always park in front of my house. gets annoying. But the next time they have a party till 3am, Im gonna test out there driveway as a bleach pad with my new slicks
All my scale model cars/trucks. lots of time, money and memories of what i was doin when i was building them. Oh and my Micro RC too. That and Monster Energy drinks, Except theyre only prized possessions until i finish them. Then i gotta go and buy another one and make IT my new prized possession..
I grew up in a westernish family. So I fullheartedly understand that one. Except, in your case, he can probably feel more than he hears I have about the same, only I painted it lime green and pin stripped it. Literally right out the the box, on my birthday, on my 3 hour lunch break
I outgrew 3 craftsman boxes before I signed my life away to the tool man... the last one is barely in the picture to the right .. I still have my first craftsman 2 piece in my garage. That box gets all the performance part stickers
For me, its my vintage camera collection. I have a '65 Minolta SR-7, a Minolta SRT-101, 2 different Yashica TL's, an old Canon rangefinder, a Yashica rangefinder, a pop-up Polaroid, 2 newer Canon 35mm's (great for metering my light with some sort of accuracy ) and a few others. Then there's my growing collection of lenses. Highlights are an early 60s Soligor 135/2.8 (as best as I can tell was for video camera use, I built my own EF adapter), a Vivitar 28/2.5, a JC Penney labeled / Mamiya built 80-200/3.5, a bunch of 50/1.4s, a 135/2.8, and some other random ones. And my new favorite is the Vivitar 3x teleconverter for Yashica (and other M42 patterns). To end the speaking of giberish to most (CIN excluded, he knows cameras too) I will just post photos of my junk And excuse the irony that the pics are all crappy. I take everything with my phone
I've got too many to list... But, if I had to pick just one. I guess it would be my 2003 250cc Guam Motocross championship trophy/plate. I had to give up a fractured ankle, 3 broken ribs and countless rocks to the body for it... Let alone lots of $$ for parts, gas, entry fees, food, drinks, time, etc....
I didn't even think about my model cars... most of them are damaged though from the last 3 moves.... last move for a while now as I'm living in a house I purchased.
my children.. and of course.. Plaintop Classic with Duncans American Tele - Stock MIM Strat with Vintage Noiseless
