ive been lurking around this site for about a year now, but just bought my truck so i thought id make an account. i scored a 79 Longbed sr5 for 300 dollars, runs like a top, the interior is on the low side of moderate. the cab is dent free, but i cant say as much about the bed .i have a rebuilt 20r running in it now but i have plans to put a cammed 22r with a 20r head in it... but thats down the road

for now, slamm it a and drive it, body work and interior.
Im lookin for a front bumper if anyone knows any good Re-pops

Yea that goes from Blaine to Vancouver... I'm down in SW Washington in Vancouver.... where you from?

 

I am out in Washougal WA. a suburb of vancouver, about 7 miles east of i205.
i wast pleased to see a lot of fellow Washingtoians on here.

i will have pictures soon. the onlything holding me back is the previous owners littered the bumpers with RV campground bumperstickers.

dont get me wrong. my truck isnt nice. when i jjust got it the last time it saw new tabs was 94, but i am super stoked to get with it and use it as a starting point into mini trucking.

 

okay so here is the deal. it isnt a 79 idk how that happened. its a 77 on a 78 chassis. but whatever, im not sure what to go with. title says 78 so we will call it that, but What does the DMV know.

Heres how mine started. After a drop, some polish, and removing ugly stuff from the side, it looked alot better.

just from that picture curtis, i can tell your truck is FAR nicer than mine, but thanks. i took the pic with my pops camera that cost more than i paid for my truck, so it just looks nice. id love to park them next to eachother and take a couple pics. i should be able to get my rear blocks in, in about a week . im stoked for that. ill make sure to start a Build thread.
