Well the lowers will drop the front end 3" and the spindles will drop another 2".Doing the ball joint flip will give 1-1.5" more.I'm looking to only do a 1" bj flip.I'll try to get a pic of the two lowers next to each other to show you.

I know you folks are photo junkies.I found time to clean the bay and cut the motor mounts ,then set the tranmision.

The trans mounts are different from the 87 to 93.I needed to move the motor back 1.5-2 inches,by using the shorter 87 mount then turning the mount (rubber part) around I gained 1.75 inches.Neat!

i also did some more cleaning of the dash.

This is the finish I'm keeping.

Well my 4 Runner is missing its home while i'm building its smaller but older brother.

looks good with the firewall cut. nice progress. how far back are you moving the firewall/engine? will you have enough room to run mechanical fan or are you going electric? keep us updated.

Well I'm moving the motor 2" back and should have about a 1.75" gap between the 4 core radiator and mechanical fan but only a .50" at the firewall.

    new header showed up.

what header is that? it looks like really high quality craftsmanship...2.5" collector? what are you doing for the rest of your exhaust? maybe i missed it...but what did you decide on the build-out of the motor?

Let me get some photos up for you. I closed the gap between the cab and bed down to 1/2 inch, and moved the rear axle back about 1 1/2 inches.I used the rear cab mount(from the 65) that also carries the bed and welded it to the 93 frame.I made new floor mounts (built into the floor framing) since the floors needed to be replaced anyway. Kept the center mount up front but added rubber bushings at the corners to keep cab from moving. The trans is moved back (mount is all the way back to the crossmember ,then lowered almost 2 inches)and the motor followed, this was to get space for the fan / pullies and 3 core rad. Cut the firewall in the center to get motor to fit and have enough room. Electric fan and 2 core might save you some work. The stout wheel base is about 3 inches longer than a 93 but the body is a few inches shorter.
Sorry to ramble on but hope this helps will post pic asap, feel free to ask me what ever.:)

Just remember measure twice and cut once or is it I cut it three times and its still to short.
