    Now your RockN' . . .

Nice upgrades, Hella better than stock and even considering H.U. RMS output, I bet they do sound killR'. I went with Infinity 5.25's in Q-forms ( hard as hell to find now ( the Q-forms ). Also, runnin 6 x 9's from Infinity ( this stuff is loud and clear. Sooner or later Ill upgrade to 2 ohm - 6", but Im waitN on the prices to go down. Also, running the Kenwood Excelon KDC-890, good deck, hella powerfull but takes/took some time to learn from a diehard Pioneer Fan  . Total SPL from last recording was @ 141 DB, talk about loud, whole cab becomes a BOX. Anyways, Nice upgrades, figure yourself in for a sub and youll be beating on windows soon. I like what Im seeing . . .

I plan on adding another set and redoing the door panels. Both runnin' off a 4 channel. And 4 Type-S 10's in a bedbox runnin' off a 1000 watt amp. All of it will be Alpine. A buddy of mine is using all Alpine Type-R in his Nissan ext. cab. Two 10's off of a V-Power 1000 watt amp (same amp I will use) hit 141.3 db.

When did he get his system tested? Like the deck and I was thinking about the type-S 6 1/2 for my nest install. Like to hear someone that says they sound good and get loud.

He had is system metered at a stereo comp a couple of weeks ago. As far as the Type-S 6 1/2, I like 'em so far. I'm very impressed for only costing me $100. They have a pretty good bass response. I go too high on the volume they start to distort, but what wouldn't.

Yes it was. Which one were you at? The High School Nats or Import Summer Jam? We were at both.

    Hey man try this . . .

    http://www.crutchfield.com/S-I5RKi9uvNeY/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?i=044C400230

    and . . .

    http://audio-n-more.com/thestore/TOYOTA.html

Justa few, mind you that these can be molded a lil more with fiberglass and such to fit bigger, I have seen one 88 truck with 6 x 9's moulded in these q-forms, you talk about location, this is the place to have them and perhaps save some seat room . . .

. . . One further to add, Ive seen & heard alot of systems, some think because the box is bigger and the power is more, its gotta be louder, Not doubting anyones stuff, just saying even a budget system with 10' and low RMS and proper tuning can yeild very surprising results. Alote involved, RMS, Location, Box style, Soundproofing, Ohm output, signal to noise ratios, QTS's, Magnet structure and makeup, and Sensitivity. Mind you Ive heard some basic systems sound like gold, its all about what you want, what you like, and what you can afford. Once again, nice upgrades, good product choices cant wait to see more . . .

I can't agree more. I'm gonna put more money into the box & the install to show people you don't have to buy $1000 subs & $1000 amps to get high SPL. Or sound quality for that matter.

adding another amplifier for the front speakers will help eliminate your distortion issue, your speakers will also have more volume and sound much clearer.

add a little dynamat and you wont hear any annoying rattles that might arise from the added vibration.

the only thing that will rattle is the door lock rods. Shaved handles are the only way I know of to fix that.

I took clear plastic tubing and installed it on mine and it solved that annoyance, mine sounded like they were going to fly outta the doors . . .

I actually managed to shake off and lose the trim pieces that hold the door lock pull in the center... and I already bought some solenoids, so bye bye handles...

....but that tubing does sound like a great idea. I have a separate key for my ignition and handles too so I am literally looking for excuses to shave my handles

Got a set of grey toyota q-forms... came in my 93 when I got it in 03... I took them out and they have been sitting for 5+ years now... I knew they were rare and worth something so I didn't trash them....

    Anyone want them?

They will be amplified eventually. As far as rattles, none so far.

They also have one at the Import Summer Jam. But that's only once a year. There is another High School Nats fall event in late summer.
