This truck once was a recreational vehicle
It has since had that aspect removed in favor of a baja style roll bar setup
It has:
no top or back to the cab
only 161,xxx miles as it obviously was never daily driven
8" wide wheels all around with 235/75/15 inch tires
welded differential, mud tires out back
4wd was not offered on toyota trucks until 1979
would be a perfect candidate for a solid front axle/ 4x4 swap as the frame is solid as a rock
the 20r is running stronger than the day it came from the factory:
phenominal compression numbers, dont remember, but even steven
rv cam
weber 32/36 carb
doug thorley headers and 2.5" pipes
4speed steel case tranny
all brand new inner and outer tie rods and pitman arm, steering feel is king
new lower ball-joints as well
runs great, has a 48 or so inch toolbox but no real bed to speak of
has sweet led tailights an turn signals

im still on the hunt for a single sidedraft for a 20r. for cheap. lol. i dont know why people think anything side draft related is worth gold. especially singles. a single 40 isnt much better than a downdraft 38/38. just better throttle responce from the shorter intake runners. keep your ears open people. otherwise i have to make one. and i dont want to make one. lol.

 

B.Y.E. had one for sale but don't know if he's gonna sell it cause he's running it now.

 

If you wanted, you could buy 48MM down/sidedraft throttle bodies and run fuel injection. Injectors are in base of TB's

There about 250 each new, and they pop up on thesamba.com every once and awhile cheep.

eep. no fuel injection on this setup. my buddy has a 45 dcoe he will sell me for a good deal. i just need to make/buy an intake to run a single sidedraft on a 20r head. ill probably make it.
