Im trying to figure out if my cluster is electronic or cable driven. Can someone please help me clarify. Please post pics if possible. BTW, I have a 92 xcab with a 22RE.

 

Cable driven. I don't think the 22re came with electronic speedometers.

 

Im sure its cable driven, but check your mail. I sent you a few things to look
for that will help you find out.

 

I have a 93 22-re and its eletric if that helps

 

yes it did, 92 was the transition year from cable to electric, some had cable some had electric, more than likely you have an electric...you can be sure by just taking the cluster out its not hard, or go down and look at your speedo sensor on the tranny, if you have a cable then its cable, if its a sensor then electric

 

That was a mix year. My 92 was a late production and it is electric. Other then removing the cluster look under the truck and it is easy to tell.

 

Look underneath your truck and see if it has a speedo cable coming out of the rear tail shaft of the transmission.
