    i dont see an issue....... if they are 18x8.5 or smaller they should be fine. +40 offset is pretty deep. they should tuck ok but your tire size will come into play depending on your drop.

    The +40 offset for a 8.5" wheel isn't really ideal; it's more of a fwd car fitment. You will probably have problems turning in front and might even rub the frame in the rear. My 18x8.5 +35 were really close. I had to pull, roll, trim, beat on, and shave the front fenders to make it work, and rubbing was still unavoidable on big bumps or any sort of bump and turn combination. My frame in the rear also had some tire marks on it. Here's a picture:

    A good offset for that size and width of wheel would probably be +30 front and +20 rear. (It would still need the modifications I mentioned to work without rubbing, though.)

    Mine are 20x8.5 w/+40mm offset, never have issues turning/rubbing and the rears fit just fine, no rubbing on frame. I do have to tub my firewall though as with anything over 18s especially as I plan to bag eventually. For reference I have a 94 standard cab.

    a big playing factor is also drop height......

    Yeah, forgot to mention that also. Stock height it fit easier. :p
