Does any one know where I can find a tailgate handle relocator for my 88. I always see the ones for the 89 and up but can't find the 88 and lower.

 

I did some searching and came up with nothing.

 

didn't even use one on mine..just cut out the mount side then use that as a template to cut out the inside of the tailgate and re-weld it on the inside of the tailgate

there was one on ebay for $65... should still be there

 

its all custom so i would just use the 89 one and make it work. the filler plate might not fit but better than nothing.

I reused the original steel that I cut out and welded it back in on the inside as well.

I havent finished boxing it in yet and all I have on hand are early rough in pics. But for what its worth, here they are.
