I just picked up an extra truck. its an 89 regular cab, short bed, and Auto. I have been told it is a rare combo with the auto. Is this correct? I cannot find anything to tell me it is true or false. Anyone know?

 

i have see a very few autos..

 

it is fairly rare but not unheard of. most commonly found with delux packages since they also had power steering ac and i think were more commonly found in extra cabs.....

the package made it easier to drive and were aimed towards older folk so i had been told.....

are you concerned about this rare combo or what??

well it did have a/c, but no power steering. I just didnt know if i should keep it or not. I have a 5-speed and love it. bought this one to use as parts but seems that the starter is only thing keeping it from being driven. Really dont have a need for it and didnt know if it would sell for more since it MIGHT be rare.

 

as far as rare in what value it may hold...... IMHO not much different from one with a 5 speed and ac. but thats just what i see around here

 

ok cool, either way im selling it, no fun if it isnt a 5-speed. just wasnt sure if i had a jewel.

 

shove a 5spd in her and it'll be a jewel.

other than that, its just a bit more "luxury" (not really)
