is this a 4 speed or a 5 speed? i keep shifting it on the bench and sometimes it feels like a 4 sometimes it feels like i 5..i swear im not retarded..

doing a quick Google search on that case # it came up as a w52 but not sure i have the same exact transmission sitting under the bench but mines a 4 speed w series

 

i found it as a w50 5 speed according to this site

and if you go here it looks like the w50 5 speed too cause of the last section looks buliker..look @ pic #4. the shifter part looks different but the caseing is the same.

 

your case is 91 not 90 from the pic i see there

 

mark the input shaft and the out put shaft with chalk and put it in gear. in 3rd the input shaft will complete a revolution before the output shaft. in 5th the output shaft will complete 1 revolution before the input. and from what i can see it looks like a w50 trans. guessing it is all steel case. same trans as me.

 

i checked it with a magnet, the bell housing is aluminum, the center is cast, and the tail is aluminum...
