http://www.toyotaminis.com/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/522/size/big/cat/ this truck is awesome. whose is it? how much drop is on it? and another question, when your front end is dropped that much, does it make your turning radius a lot bigger? do your tires rub if you do turn too hard?
it is ain't it? lol. i feel retarded now. the back wheels give it away when you look at it. well anyways. how much would you have to drop a 83 to be close to that? also, standardbyker and guys that are dropped low like that, does it mess with your steering and rubbing when you drop that low?
siiiiissssyy hahaha with mine, its obviously lowered alot. i had to roll the fenders, run shorter tires, and hammer the crap out of the inner fenders whereever it rubbed. but, it does turn lock to lock without rubbing now. and the turning radious of something always gets a bit larger when its lowered. the steering geometry changes, but its not too bad on my truck. its a tiny truck, and turns alot sharper than my cop car did, or my ramcharger does.
hey im just saying you cant ride that low in va so i would rather have the option of raising it when i get round the pigs
im technically way too low on multiple counts. even when i have been pulled over they dont say anything. i just play it cool. im below minimum headlight height, tail light height, front and rear plate height, and the ground clearance rule they have (no part of the chassis/frame can be lower than the lowest edge of any 4 rims...for mine thats about 5", i have less than 2" clearance lol).
cut 3-1/4 turns off the coils up front. no spindles. 78 was the end of coil fronts, then they went to torsions. and they dont make spindles. the back has a 4-1/2" block i made, and i pulled the center leaf. no notch. not much travel. im working on a notch very soon though. gotta notch my dodge and bring the back down though. cuz since my clutch pooped i havent had the yota on the road :\
me? no. and they are awesome. but since i cant afford to do it the right way, im rolling as close to the ground as i can. kinda gets a back to the roots feeling anyways.
nah we was posting at the same time i was referring to duck. but thats crazy you have only pulled one leaf and still havnt notched it and its still that low.
i have less than an inch to the frame. lol. back is down roughly 6.5" and the front is probably close to 8". i love the camber it gets though.
My ride height @ the frame is 4.5" , drive it all over the state,no problem. Adjustable ,yes! Only pulled over for as if my tanks were NOS!!
no, never owned a bagged truck. just not a big fan of em. i mean, some of em look sick bagged, just not my style. there's really no reason, just prefer lowered over bagged.
i'll bag a lexus but not my truck I wanna turn and enjoy my truck as a truck then if it were a luxury car, i'll roll like VIP
running bags makes more sence then stock suspension. if done correctly... it will handle better, drive lower and be able to carry more weight then a stock suspension. but its alot more work.
and a pickup is supposed to be for hauling. can't do much hauling once you bag a truck and get rid of most of the bed. lol
