Anyone know where i can get a oil pan or oil pan gasket and new drain bolt for this 3R motor?? this thing is gonna kick my ass just because of the parts!!! Thanks guys!
For the cost of parts (time searching & money - if found) to keep that 3R on the road, you might be able to find a decent conditioned 20r w/ 5-speed that you could swap in. Maybe even a 22R (80'-83')! Just a thought.
drain bolt's should be similar sized.... most of them are same thread arent they? sorry good luck bro!
Thats what I thought about my 73, but it shares parts with trucks up to late 70s. But I have a 72 18r-u so i had to make a custom exhaust flange gaskit for the downpipe(it was custom lol). I didnt use a oil pan gasket, just gasket maker, some grey color'd rtv silicone. Ill trade trucks with ya
I sent a pm(about a motor) to a guy up in new hampshire.I'll give him a little more time to respond.Anyway I have the motor from my 65 stout and the pan looks good.don't know what you can do for the gasket.I'll keep you posted.
Thanks guys! im goin to see if I can just use a crush washer to see if that will work.. I also just found out the oil filters i have are not right, so if anyone also knows where i can get an oil filter too that would be great!! thanks
