Have questions regarding what Ignition box, electric fuel pump, and coil to run in my '86 truck. I found a Holley Fuel Pump (red) for pretty cheap and people are telling me to go with Accel than MSD for the coil. But everyone tells me to use the MSD Ignition box. Your thoughts are welcome.

    Thanks!!

I'm running the msd 6al box with the msd blaster coil on my big block chev I dont now how much its helped because it whent on with a new engine but from what other people have said it helps on the fuel milage side I know I wasnt fowling plugs as fast when I broke piston rings like I've seen in the past

I'll end up putting the msd box on my yota once I figure it needs a little power boost (like now)

is your truck fuel injected or are you wanting to just get rid of the mech. pump

i run a MSD 6al and msd coil also on my truck, and i plan on installing another 6al box on my turbo truck as its just sitting on the shelf. easy install if its carb, if its EFI, u have to buy an extra part for the modual. i am currently running a holley red pump on my carb trucks motor, u do need a fuel pressure regulator is u decide to run the holley red, but the stock one should easily keep up. what mods have u done to the motor?

Thanks for all the information. I'm currently running pretty much stock with the exception of Pacesetter headers, oversize radiator, and 2-barrel Weber 32/36 DGEV carb. I just put in a straight pipe from the headers all the way back to a Turbo Raptor. I looking to swap that over to a Flowmaster 40 series. I want that deep low sound so I'm just shopping and research different things. I just scored a MSD 6A ignition box and a MSD Blaster 3 Coil for really cheap. I'm working on getting a Holley Red Fuel Pump. It should be in next weekend. Right now just trying to eliminate the emission crap and clean up my engine, put in performance parts as I get them. This summer I plan to buy a motor and just rebuild it from the ground up and slap that baby in and go for it. Frinzo, is there a specific regulator you perfer I can with the Holley Red Pump?

    Thanks!
