I've had several top of the line helmets (AGV, Shark, Arai) at one point I was collecting them:D But my fav is Shark RSR2...super comfortable, the lightest helmet you can buy, and flowed air great

    pushing 2k in just helmets:looney:

i bought this one just because it matched my truck hahaha

as far as gear I prefer Teknic becuase they all come with full Knox CE armor even in the back..all other brands the back piece you have to buy extra..i have a Joe Rocket mesh for riding around town, but when I go to the track or plan on getting serious its the Teknic suit or if its too cold for mesh I wear my Teknic Violator jacket, and I rock Alpinestars boots

    full suit

scorpions are great helmets for the money, and probably the best in that price range, can't go wrong there, all your paying for with the expensive lids is how they flow air and how light they are

glad to see your not a squid..nothing wrong with what you got, I only had a helmet and no jacket when i started..wish i had a jacket because i went down...luckily I did have a lid on, but i had to learn the hard way, i dont go anywhere now without my gear now!

my advice, dont buy a used helmet. You do not know if it has been wrecked and repainted, or dropped. I would always buy a new helmet its the most important piece and if you get one with internal damage, you wasted your money and possibly your life.

:eek:highside or lowside...usually a worn tire would be lowside, a highside would be in a turn, pretty low(draggin knee, but not necessarily) you loose traction start to lowside then the bike grabs traction again and throws you up over the top..there is allot more dynamics to it, but that could be allot of things, your riding technique, tires, and suspension..have you had your suspension tuned for your weight? its worth more than any powercommander or exhaust

here in phoenix they have free suspension set up days at the track..you buy a track day and they help you set your suspension..I would also highly recommend taking a riding course, not a beginner MSF course but a performance riding technique course, lots of fun and its amazing how fast you can go when you learn some new tricks!!

we ride the mountains around where i live and its nothing but switchbacks. lots of fun but 3 out 5 turns it feels like its startin to slide out from under me in a turn then itl catch traction again and il continue through the turn i know my front tire needs to be replaced. the guy that owned it before me didnt ride it all the way to the edge and it has a build up of rubber so i cant ride my bike to its potential.

and no i havnt we dont have tracks around here like that we just have mountains lol

yeah we hit up the mountains/canyons as well...yeah you might want to start with the tires, then see if someone around you knows suspension and set that up, if the previous owner had some chicken strips and the rest of the tire is balding that could be it, the transition from the chicken strips(good rubber) to the worn could be it
