Ok, now I see it. Yes, where the amps mounted, I had to remove the sound deadener to make space vertically. I did some slight surgery there and recovered the area with dynomat. I am really bad about taking pictures of projects, so I end up with in progress pics that are rarely followed by finished pics....
I wish I did. I'd be more then happy to share with you. it realy wasnt that hard to do it took a little thought and some measuring I'm looking for another truck and once I've got to the point of installing a system I'll be doing close to the same
Right now I have the 4" dash speakers and 6x9's in seperate boxes behind the bench seat. Ideally I would just run 6.5" components in the door or kick panel, but I don't want to do anything irreversable to the truck, trying to keep it as stock looking as possible. It's a nostalgia thing with my dad, we both drive it as a secondary vehicle. I'm pretty much stuck with the 6x9's in the back huh?
if u are lookin to shake the ground, this is what i did, i cut out a portion of the back of the cab into the bed, so my two 18" solo x speakers by kicker points into the cab, and the rest of the box sits in the bed. i weather proofed the area between the cab and the bed, no water gets in, then welded a cover which is dynomatted over the box in the bed, then over the whole bed i mounted a hard top tonnoeu cover, COMPLETE GROUND SHAKER...
