Thanks. I think once I get my header it should be somewhere in the range of $1500. That would include ignition, fuel system, carbs/manifold, exhaust, and shipping. I did save some money buying the carbs and manifold from my friend, and the cam came out of an extra motor.

I think your truck looks great too! If you dont need the extra room for tire clearance, I think the 2wd fenders are the way to go for sure!

damn. wish i could run anything close to being called a lip. lol. 78 styles need a hell of a lot more offset. which sucks, cuz i wanna put the 14x6 dodge coronet steelies on my buddy has. ill test fit them though. i could work them off. i think it'd be sweet.

i like the photoshop look of blur and contrast you do. truck looks good.

I'm FOR 4wd fenders. but im just complimenting on you pulling off a clean stance with the 2wd fenders. 4wd fenders will let you play more :D

Thanks guys. My front fenders were already pulled and rolled before I switched wheels so I have plenty of clearance, even though it tucks tire in the front and my wheels are -12 offset.

I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to run ac with the sidedrafts. If anything, you might want to bump up the idle speed a little. If my truck came with ac, I certainly would have kept it.

I don't know Nam. I gotta really disagree on this one. It's just a matter of opinion, but it's a sleeker, more streamlined look with 2wd fenders. The only real advantage in my opinion with 4wd fenders would be tire clearance. That is unless you want to run a 4runner front end. Then you gotta do it. The main thing that bothers me about the 4wd fender look is the tabs where the inner fender liner, that plastic piece is. That thing usually gets removed right away and then even on "complete" trucks, you have the tabs usually there. I guess people could also trim them down easily for a cleaner look. I see it in the mags all the time. The 4wd fenders really make it an eyesore. I guess people could also trim them down easily for a cleaner look. I am surprised more people don't do that.
Then you are set! That looks great! I hope I can get my 2wd fenders to look like that!

Yeah, i need to find fender liners and wider wheels..

2wd streamline fenders but the rear bed is flared, that bothered me the most

Thanks. What kind of carbs are you installing? My regulator is set for 7 psi for my Mikunis, but from what I understand, the Webers only need about 4 psi or so.

I do like the 4wd fenders, but I don't feel like paying for new ones and shipping. Maybe If I can find a good deal locally, but there's a pretty limited selection over here. At this point there are enough 2wd's in my area with the 4wd fenders that I would need to keep my 2wd fenders just to be "original". :p There are at least three other trucks that looked almost exactly like mine until I changed my wheels.

It's the pro header from LC, a really nice looking piece. It came in pretty quick too; I was surprised. I'm gonna make a short exhaust with a Magnaflow muffler to go with it.
