Cool! Welcome to the forum! I'd like to also encourage you to check out www.bodydrop.org! We could use some Datsun influence on there. So far our Datsun section is pretty lacking. Maybe you need to get a body drop goin on that thing and start a build thread over there? Either way you should check us out! We are accumulating write ups on a number of different welding required modifications in addition to just bodydrops! Just thought I'd mention it since this is a Toyota forum and over at www.bodydrop.org, we are into all types of minitrucks!
In the 70's I lived next door to a guy that looked like Ted Nugent and he had a yellow 70's one. I ran into him about a year ago and he was still driving it! Said he's only done the water pump and a couple other things. Those trucks are true mini's, I love those things! I got passed on the freeway by about 10 old Datsun cars that had wide meats and stuff and damn those things were cool too. One or two of those station wagon ones too..can't remember what they're called.
lol. i was doing about 80 on the freeway once down in vegas, and a little B210 passes me like i was stopped. he was probably doing 110-120. sweet little cars/trucks for sure. i like datos almost as much as yotas.
