Unfortunately, since I got the new car, I need to sell the Hilux. In Lake Elsinore, California. 1988 Toyota 4x4 standard bed, 22RE 5 speed. Tires are 1 year old, new head, bucket seats, new radiator, Autometer tachometer, very straight body for a 4x4 of its age. Still runs, however it needs repair; oil blowby due to bad part in lower block, AC needs recharged. $1000 or better offer, need it gone - but I will miss it. Call for my dad, Deron at (951) 471-5098 (available after 3:30 PM or so).
Sent you a message, are you willing to part it out? I need some to source some 4x4 fenders, grille and bed.
PM'ed you back. Not long bed. This could be a good project truck for anyone interested, price is somewhat negotiable.
ditto........ i could use a clean bed if you are looking to part it out to be honest you may get more that way as well...........
My parents really just want it gone, like, off the driveway. If someone wants to buy it as a parts truck, so be it, however I really hope it can stay on the road. However I want to keep the 4x4 grille for my next truck (if I can find a good one after I can afford one) which could be a chase truck in either 2 or 4WD.
Good luck bro, hope to see you in a toyota soon. When i'm done restoring my white 88, i'm doing an off-frame resto btw, i'm putting my 84 up for sale. I really only want to get like $750 for it since it has 569,261 miles on it.
I wish I could have a Toyota now, but I've got the Saturn. I'll include everything I've got for the truck, both grilles, all the receipts, both seat types, but we need the driveway space and the garage's full.
Too late. My parents are going to sell it or part it out and get me something newer and "safer." I'm not even going to have a say in what it is. Dad claims he saw a small crack in the tranny, and both differentials and the transfer case are leaking, then the f***ed up alignment and horrible paint job... they don't think this thing is worth it like I do. I'll miss the Hilux, but I have no choice... I'm getting something newer and "cheap" (my family isn't the wealthiest in Riverside County, but I've been assured I will not get a Geo Metro - thank God). A cracked trans, leaking diffs, t - case, bad alignment. Getting a G for it may be stretch. Copied from your other thread because you forgot to mention the bad points.
No crack in the tranny, it was just a gap in the main seal. He doesn't care for the truck like I did, so he told me he "thought he saw" one to persuade me to let it go. He showed me the "crack" yesterday...
